Troubleshooting VAT ID Errors
We use the European Union's VIES system to validate IDs. If your ID is rejected, it is usually due to one of these three reasons:
Invalid ID: The number does not exist in the official database. You can verify yours at the VIES VAT number validator.
Cross-Border Restrictions: Your ID might be valid domestically but not authorized for EU-wide transactions.
System Outages: If the VIES system in your specific country is temporarily down, we cannot verify the ID. If this happens, please wait a few hours and try again.
There may be certain situations in which a submission might turn up an error.
