What are "External Charges"?

Tapfiliate has been a leading affiliate platform since 2014, long before our direct integration with Shopify billing was launched. In Shopify's ecosystem, "external charges" simply refers to subscriptions that are processed outside of the Shopify billing system.

Will this affect my billing?

No, this label does not mean you will be charged twice or face hidden fees. Your billing method depends entirely on when and how you joined Tapfiliate:

  • For New Users: If you sign up for Tapfiliate through the Shopify App Store today, you will be billed exclusively via Shopify Billing. External charges will not apply to you.

  • For Long-time Users: If you were a Tapfiliate customer before our new Shopify integration launched, your payments will continue to be processed directly by Tapfiliate. You will not be billed extra via Shopify.

Why is this mentioned?

This note is a requirement by Shopify to inform users that Tapfiliate maintains an established user base that pays through our original platform rather than the app store. It is a technical distinction, not a price increase.
