If you're setting up coupon tracking, you'll need to assign the coupon you'd like to track to the affiliate.
Assigning a coupon
You can assign a coupon to an affiliate in one of three ways:
Through the interface - You can go to your Affiliates Overview > Click on the affiliate. In the right-side details panel, you will find the coupon field.
If you have filled in the affiliate's coupon code, hit enter to save.
Keep in mind...
For coupon tracking to work, your shopping cart/platform must, first and foremost, be able to generate coupons.
Depending on your integration and whether coupon tracking is supported or not, you may need to take additional steps to set up coupon tracking. Please refer to our coupon tracking set-up guide to see if there are additional steps you need to take.
Where does the affiliate find their assigned coupon?
If a coupon has been assigned to an affiliate, they will be able to find it on their Assets page, next to the referral link.
Can Tapfiliate generate coupons for me and create them in my store?
No - Tapfiliate does not have the ability to automatically create coupons or create these within your store. The reason for this is because we do not have permissions needed to make changes in your eCommerce or SaaS platform.
If you have a developer, however, they may be able to automate this process. They may use this endpoint to assign a coupon to the affiliate. They would need to find a way to create a coupon within your store.
Is it possible to assign the same coupon to multiple affiliates?
For now we don't have such in-built functionality. As a workaround, you can add a coupon as a Text asset and it will be visible for all affiliates in the program.
Is it possible to assign multiple coupons to a single affiliate?
You can only assign one coupon per affiliate. Soon we'll be releasing an option to add many coupons for one affiliate.
