How to Find the Account ID

How to Generate and Manage Your API Key
The API Key is your secret credential for securely communicating with the Tapfiliate platform from external systems (like custom scripts or Zapier).
1. Where to Find and Generate Your Key
Go to Profile Settings in your dashboard.
Scroll down to the API Key section.
Click the "Generate API key" link to create your key.
2. Why Regenerate Your API Key?
Regenerating your API Key is primarily a security measure-it allows you to instantly invalidate the old key and create a new one. This is necessary if you suspect your existing key has been compromised or exposed.
⚠️ Critical Warning on Regeneration
When you click the "Generate new API key" button, you will see a warning (as shown in the pop-up). It is vital to understand the consequence:
Generating a new API key will invalidate your current API key. Any actions/webhooks or code that you currently use with the previous API key will stop functioning immediately.
Action Required: If you regenerate your key, you must immediately update all external systems and custom scripts (e.g., your conversion tracking code, webhooks, Zapier connections) with the new key to maintain functionality.

What is the difference between the Account ID and the API Key?
