Tapfiliate's Shopify integration

Tapfiliate has a direct integration with the Shopify platform.

This Shopify integration allows to create, set up and grow an affiliate marketing or referral marketing program for a Shopify store.

Our listing on Shopify mentions something called "external charges".

In Tapfiliate's case, this does not affect our current or future users.

This page will help you understand what is meant by external charges and why you shouldn't worry about them.

What is meant by “External charges” for this app?

Tapfiliate is a company with a history dating back to 2014 and has an established user base.

While all new users will pay for their Tapfiliate subscription via Shopify billing, old users continue paying for their Tapfiliate subscription externally, through Tapfiliate.

In Shopify terms this is called an external charge.

Will this affect me?

No, in neither of the cases will it affect you.

  • If you are a new Tapfiliate user who signs up and gets billed via Shopify, you will only be billed via Shopify - external charges won’t apply to you.

  • If you have been a Tapfiliate user before the launch of the new Shopify integration and have been billed by Tapfiliate in the past, your payment will continue to be processed by Tapfiliate (no extra charges via Shopify, then).
