Managing Affiliate Links
You can customize the identifier in your affiliate link to better suit your preferences or branding. This identifier, often referred to as a username or slug, can be updated if the program settings allow it. To make changes:
Navigate to your affiliate profile or tracking link settings.
Look for options to edit your username or slug.
Update the identifier and save your changes.
Once updated, your affiliate link will reflect the new identifier. Note that the ability to make these changes depends on the specific settings of the advertiser or program you are part of.
Sharing Sign-Up Links
If you want to invite someone to join as a new affiliate, you should share the affiliate sign-up link provided by the program. This link is specifically designed for new affiliate registration and is different from your personal referral link, which is used to track conversions. Ensure you provide the correct link to avoid confusion.
Program Name and URL Management
The program name that appears in the URL is tied to the program’s ID and cannot be changed after the program is created. If you need a different name in the URL, create a new program with the name you want, move your affiliates over, and then archive the old program.
Archiving keeps the old program and all of its historical data in your account in a read-only view, so nothing is lost. To archive a program:
Go to Programs > General settings.
Select the program you want to archive in the program switcher in the top right corner of the page.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Archive program.
Confirm in the pop-up.
Important: an archived program stops tracking. New clicks, conversions and commissions are no longer recorded for it, and its existing referral links no longer work. Make sure your affiliates have their new links before you archive the old program.
Archiving is reversible. To bring a program back, open it and click Activate.
