When You Might Need to Delete an Affiliate
Inactive Affiliates: Affiliates who haven’t generated any traffic, clicks, or sales over a long period may be removed to keep the program clean and manageable.
Violation of Terms or Policies: Affiliates who breach the program’s rules, such as using prohibited marketing methods, spamming, or misrepresenting the brand.
Fraudulent or Suspicious Activity: Affiliates engaging in click fraud, fake sign-ups, or other unethical practices that harm the advertiser’s business.
Duplicate Accounts: Affiliates who have multiple accounts to exploit commissions or bypass program limits.
Non-compliance with Legal Requirements: Affiliates failing to follow legal standards, including GDPR, FTC guidelines, or local advertising regulations.
Change in Affiliate Relationship: Situations where the business relationship ends, e.g., affiliates moving to competitors, or when contracts are terminated.
Performance-based Decisions: Low-performing affiliates may be removed if they do not meet set benchmarks for traffic, conversions, or engagement.
What happens to the conversions of deleted affiliates?
All events created by the deleted affiliate will still be recorded in the system. Any conversions from that affiliate will be attributed to “Unknown” in your reports.
When an affiliate is deleted, any customers they registered will be automatically marked as stopped. No further conversions will be attributed to that affiliate for those customers, even if the customers continue purchasing your products.
How do I delete an affiliate from my account?
You can delete affiliates from your account either individually or in bulk.
To delete an affiliate individually:
Go to the Affiliates tab in your account.
Click on the affiliate you want to delete.
Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the affiliate’s card.
Press the Delete affiliate button.
Press the Delete affiliate button for confirmation one more time.
To delete affiliates in bulk:
Go to the Affiliates tab in your account.
Check the boxes next to the affiliates you want to delete.
Click Delete affiliates.
Confirm the number of affiliates you are about to delete.

How does the deletion appear from the affiliate’s perspective?
Once an affiliate account is deleted, the affiliate will be logged out immediately if they were logged in. They will no longer be able to access the system and will see a message indicating that their email or password is incorrect when attempting to log in.
