If your customer flow involves offline stages, this guide will explain how to ensure that the conversion data is transferred to your Tapfiliate account.
Passing the data via the coupon tracking
We at Tapfiliate understand that there might be cases when marketing campaigns go outside your website, and a sale takes place offline. To ensure proper affiliate attribution, we offer Coupon codes.
When a sale occurs in person or via an asset placed outside your website, Tapfiliate will capture the conversion data based on the promo code associated with an affiliate in your program.
Consider using S2S/Postback tracking
Many brands and affiliate marketers prefer this tracking method due to its reliability and accuracy in conversion tracking. It relies on straightforward communication between your server and Tapfiliate. With that in mind, postback tracking is less affected by ad-blocking software/extensions, privacy settings, and other factors that can get in conflict with the tracking process.

Implement REST API tracking
Using REST API for conversion creation can help when you have data on which to base a conversion.
You must use either a referral code, customer ID, click ID, coupon code, tracking ID, or asset ID and source ID combination. If more than one of these is sent, the precedence will be as follows (highest to lowest): Customer ID, Coupon, Referral Code, Click ID, Asset ID + Source ID, Tracking ID.
Example #1: You track clicks on your website when users access it via an affiliate referral link. Then, you can store this data on your backend to later create conversions based on the click data via this REST API endpoint.
Example #2: Your customer journey takes place outside your website, so clicks cannot be captured. Alternatively, you can refer to the coupon tracking approach and create a conversion via API based on the coupon value. This will attribute a sale to a respective affiliate.
Manually adding conversion data
Some Tapfiliate users use a manual approach to register the conversions via their advertiser account interface. It gives full control over the data you add and the conversion creation.
To manually create a conversion, visit your advertiser account > Conversions > Click the +New conversion button.
In a window opened, you can input the information on the conversion, such as the amount, external ID, and customer ID, and assign it to the correct affiliate.
